Religion[edit | edit source]

Faith Declarant[edit | edit source]

The predominant religious order of the land, its worship centres around the all-powerful deity Yion (pronounced "eon"). He is also known as the Lord of Illumination, Keeper of the Sun and the Star-Weaver. In the time before time, he brought order to the primordial chaos by spreading his holy light throughout and weaving the stars and worlds into being. Serving him is a circle of powerful angelic beings known as the Luminous Host, who act as his messengers and intermediaries.

Rank and file clergy of the Faith are known as clerics, while senior clergy are known as arch-clerics. They are known collectively as "the Clerus". Leading the Clerus is the High Father (or Mother), based out of the Temple of Tranquil Repose in the city of Highspire. Assisting them in their duties is the Synod, a gathering of the most senior arch-clerics.

The most common prayer of the Faith reads, "You are our guiding light, the candle in the darkness. Your holy name is our sacrament, and your truth will we honour, in life as in death."
