The National Red Party - also known as the Red Party or the NRP - is a political party active in the United States of America.

National Health[edit | edit source]

The nation must enact a National Health Program (NHP) for all citizens. It will provide all basic and preventive medical, dental, and vision care at no cost. This includes a physical with necessary tests, two dental cleanings and a vision test each year. An annual hearing test is also provided to all citizens over the age of 55.

Prescription Coverage[edit | edit source]

All maintenance and necessary medications (blood pressure, cholesterol, heart, GERD, etc) are provided at a $2 copay per 30-day supply, or a $5 copay per 90-day supply.

Taxation[edit | edit source]

Social Security[edit | edit source]

The earnings cap must be eliminated completely. Strictures must be added to the laws governing Social Security that stipulate those funds are to be used for no other purpose but payment of the national pension.

Deductions[edit | edit source]

All special deductions must be eliminated completely.

The Child Tax Credit (CTC) of $1,000 per child under age 18 per tax year shall be maintained for all single parents whose income is less than $25,000 and all married couples whose income is less than $55,000.

The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) shall be maintained. This shall be for working families with children at home under age 18 whose income is below $55,000 as well as single working adults with children at home under age 18 whose income is below $30,000 and single working adults with no children at home under age 18 whose income is below $20,000.

The tax brackets should be amended as follows -

  • Tier 1 - 0%
    • Single working adults making $0-$15,000
    • Married couples filing jointly making $0-$25,000
  • Tier 2 - 10%
    • Single working adults making $15,001-$45,000
    • Married couples filing jointly making $25,001-$90,000
  • Tier 3 - 12%
    • Single working adults making $45,001-$95,000
    • Married couples filing jointly making $90,001-$200,000
  • Tier 4 - 20%
    • Single working adults making $95,001-$190,000
    • Married couples filing jointly making $200,001-$365,000
  • Tier 5 - 30%
    • Single working adults making $190,001-$310,000
    • Married couples filing jointly making $365,001-$460,000
  • Tier 6 - 32%
    • Single working adults making $310,001-$500,000
    • Married couples filing jointly making $460,001-$675,000
  • Tier 7 - 35%
    • Single working adults making $500,001 and above
    • Married couples filing jointly making $675,001 and above

Curriculum[edit | edit source]

Sensible education standards for all primary and secondary students.

Focus on STEM - science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in secondary.

Trade school options for those more technically and/or mechanically inclined.

Youth must complete school and receive a diploma or GED in order to qualify for skilled emlpoyment.

Athletics[edit | edit source]

While physical education is a part of every student’s time in school, during primary especially, there school-supported sports programs must end. Youth can engage in team sports by playing as part of clubs in their local communities, outside of school, but this is understood to have no bearing whatsoever on their education. Favoritism of athletically talented students over academically ones is detrimental to the nation.

Discipline[edit | edit source]

Absolute commitment to safety on school grounds. Every school should have one or more trained and certified resource officers to provide safety and security to the campus.

Zero tolerance for violence or bullying, recognizing that bullied children have a right to defend themselves.

Labor and Worker Rights[edit | edit source]

The right of workers to voice their concerns, ask questions of alterations to policy or other changes, and to seek redress for their just complaints and other issues without fear or favor is absolute.

Discussions among workers about their pay and/or compensation can be necessary to addressing inequalities among those of comparable skill and experience. It shall be unlawful for any employer to punish or retaliate against any employee who has such a conversation.

All workers should receive a minimum of twenty days (four weeks) paid vacation per year minimum. Employees with six to 10 years' service receive shall receive 25 days (five weeks) and employees with 11 to 20 years' service shall receive 30 days (six weeks) per year.

All workers should receive up to thirty days (six weeks) sick leave per year with full pay. This can be used for personal medical needs, to care for a sick member of their immediate family, or to address health and safety concerns relating to domestic violence or sexual assault. Additional time with medical or professional support is provided at 75% pay up to 180 days.

Parents shall receive four months (sixteen weeks) of maternity/paternity leave at full pay.
